Summary: 

Improved orbit generation, with support for multi-heirarchal orbits.

More detailed Celestial bodies, read about formation of supernovas and immerse yourself in the inconsequential nature of existence.

Exit into space and fumble around helplessly. Then use our new stabilizer thrusters to re-orient yourself.

Randomize your space ship.

Visuals:

  • -Added: Gravity System's Starlight now show the sum of the star system's colors.

Player:

  • -Added: Helmet Light when player is In Space.
  • -Added: Torque Roll using Q/E.
  • -Added: Torque Stabilization. 
    • Pressing and holding Spacebar in Space will activate stabilizing thrusters to reduce your angular velocity to zero.
  • -Added: Velocity Match. 
    • Pressing and holding Spacebar while looking at an object will activate your thrusters to match your speed to the object. 
    • So far, this will work when aiming at your ship.

Ships:

  • -Added: Ships can now be generated.
  • -Added: Prototype Ship Parts to use with new generated ships.
  • -Added: Ship Randomizer, Press R while outside the ship to randomize it's appearance.

Universe:

  • -Added: Universal Time. 
    • Currently, this takes the current time, and calculates the total number of seconds since Jan 1, 2020. 
    • All planets will be in their default rotation of 0, orbit angle of 0, at Jan 1, 2020.
    • Rotations and Orbits use the total seconds since then to calculate current rotation and orbit position.
    • This allows rotations and orbits to persist even when this program is not running.
  • -Added: Multi-heirarchal Orbits. 
    • Orbits are no longer limited to Single and Binary Pair Stellar Bodies with single body planets.
    • -Stellar bodies can now orbit around each other, as opposed to only being in pairs with a barycenter.
    • -Up to 4 Stellar Bodies can now exist in a Gravity System. (Binary, Trinary, and Quaternary Star Systems).
    • -Stellar and Planetary Bodies can be in any combination of single and binary orbits. 
    • EX: Moon A, orbiting Planet A , orbiting a Barycenter PA+PB with Planet B,  PA+PB orbiting around Star B, orbiting Star A.
    • EX: Moon A, orbiting Barycenter MA+MB with Moon B, MA+MB orbiting Planet B, orbiting the Barycenter of Star A and Star B.

Interface:

  • -Modified: Default Text changed to Oxanium.
  • -Added: Detail UI to show detailed information of stellar bodies:
    • -Planetary Bodies now display surface gravity acceleration (m/s2).
    • -Planetary Bodies now show approximate time to complete one surface revolution (in Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds).
    • -Not effected by Ang Velocity Multiplier
    • -Planetary Bodies now show the approximate age of formation (in My or Million Years).
    • -Gravity Systems now show the amount of stellar bodies and planetary bodies.
    • -Gravity Systems now show the approximate age of formation (in My or Million Years).
    • -Nebulas now show the approximate age of formation (Years).
  • -Added: History UI to show previous events.
    • -Nebulas now show when it exploded, and how many stellar and planetary bodies were obliterated :( 
  • -Added: Controls UI. This will show controls based on player state (In Ship and In Space).

Known Bugs:

  • -Planetary Bodies do not have proper History text
  • -Orbit Lines cannot be disabled, Will add ability to disable Orbit Lines.
  • -Collision with terrain by player and ship is disabled.
  • -Sun Flares may still pass through terrain/planets.
